“Everybody’s Work” Documentary + Promotional Campaign

A national documentary and advocacy campaign challenging racism and inequity in healthcare through storytelling, education, and audience activation.

The Documentary

At the center of the campaign was Everybody’s Work, a documentary film examining racism in healthcare through the experiences of nurses, patients, educators, and advocates.

My role involved helping ensure the campaign’s messaging remained emotionally grounded, actionable, and consistent across platforms—from social copy and educational resources to long-form content and audience engagement materials.

The goal went beyond awareness to create language, tools, and storytelling that people could carry into real conversations within healthcare systems and communities.

Everybody’s Work is a documentary-centered healthcare advocacy initiative exploring the impact of racism and inequity within nursing, patient care, and healthcare systems.

The campaign extended far beyond the film itself, combining educational resources, social content, audience engagement tools, and screening support materials designed to help organizations continue the conversation after viewing.

The work reached hospitals, universities, museums, and organizations nationwide, supporting more than 10,000 screenings and broader public dialogue around health equity and systemic change. To extend the impact of the film beyond screenings, I contributed to audience-facing resources designed to encourage continued discussion and action.

This included:

  • Host-a-screening materials

  • “Dig Deeper” long-form content

  • Monthly social content

  • Educational support assets
