Adventist Health
Heart of the Matter Town Hall

A system-wide town hall turning complex cardiovascular health topics into clear, accessible messaging for clinicians, staff, and the community.

Watch the Final Program

During the program, Adventist Health will discuss ways to reduce stress and improve sleep and nutrition to keep your heart beating strong. By 2050 more than half of U.S. adults will have some form of cardiovascular disease and many don’t even realize it. Together with our community, Adventist Health is tackling heart disease head on to bring awareness and save lives.

I developed and scripted a 30-minute, system-wide town hall for Adventist Health’s Central California Network, focused on cardiovascular health and community impact in Kern County.

The program was hosted by Kiyoshi Tomono, Well-Being, Marketing and Partnership Executive and former KGET anchor, alongside Jason Wells, President of the Central California Network, and featured physicians and clinical leaders across the system. It required translating complex topics like heart disease risk, prevention, and treatment into clear, structured messaging for a broad audience of clinicians, staff, and community viewers.

In a live, multi-segment format, the writing guided transitions between hosts, expert interviews, and patient-centered storytelling, ensuring clarity, credibility, and continuity throughout.
